In today's post I will talk a little musical genres of history (more or less because they are many), their differences and similarities. Here we go.
- Pop
estribillo, estrofa, estribillo, puente y estribillo.

Nothing is currently considered pure
R & B,
but in most musical styles of "black" origin,
are presented as a distinctive element. It can be considered
as a supra, the most popular musical category
in USA.
The origin of the term "Rhythm & Blues" goes back to the late forties. Before that he was referring to this kind of sound as "race records" (race records), which clearly gave them a pejorative connotation, more a matter of ignorance than anything else. The "black" obviously did not have the same discs dissemination than white artists, and often came to the public through reinterpretations by the latter.
Instrumentation is observed, involves the use of a piano, bass, guitars, drums and saxophone. And of course, the high technical vocalist. His lyrics are often intense. The topics covered are usually love and hate, as well as its principles of his desire to make music and live freely.

The R & B,
in any case, is now an institution in the United States, with a separate category for the Grammys,
for example, and new figures such as
Toni Braxton, Alicia Keys, Aaliyah died
or Macy Gray,
who rescue the purest of style.
- Blues
The
history of the Blues begins with the arrival of the first black men brought especially
from the west coast of Africa as
slave labor for the cultivation of extensive farms in the
southern United States.
These
people enslaved, along
with fear, anger and despair, carrying
a folklore and culture that
was transformed into songs, expression of all these mixed with uprooting experiencing feelings. These songs were based on the pattern of call and response,
widely used in religious rituals or
public meetings of their continent of origin.
In
this way the voice will
not be the only tool used to make
music, but begins to take shape figure Blues
singer with his guitar and figure Bluesman
born. From that moment the Blues
was developed so that each and every one of the subsequent genres owe
their influence, from Rock to
Hip Hop, through the Heavy Metal or Pop.
What initially defines the Blues is that gender
is a narrative based
on a vocal solo accompanied by one or more instruments, predominantly string. Letters hide a sad
background, devoting almost always
feelings of shame, anxiety or pessimism since its inception and providing a realistic touch to the compositions, but we can find songs with religious, comic and even sexual lyrics.
The predominant instrument is the guitar using usual techniques
how the slide and
making use of vibrato and bending. The song consists
of stanzas of three lines,
repeating one of them twice and closing the third sentence.
- Rock and Roll / Rock

secciones: saxofones, trombones y trompetas.
Jazz has a
history and defined a specific stylistic evolution, is a musical form born around
1900 in the United States.
Its development has taken elements of folk music; Pop in turn taken from
the jazz.
Since its inception, jazz has branched into many sub-styles, making it difficult to find a single description that fits all with absolute reliability. Depending on the style you have chosen, jazz performers improvise within the conventions possible.
Usually improvisation is accompanied by a chord progression of a popular song or an original composition that repeat. Instrumentalists mimic the black vocal styles, including use sounds dragged from one note to another, slight variations in tone, and sound effects such as grunts and groans.
The desire to create a personal sound tonal color has led to the use of musicians rhythms characterized by constant syncopation (accents appear at unexpected moments compass) and also by the swing, a unique rhythmic beat Jazz manifested in the complex relationship between long and short notes.
Written sheet musicif they exist are used only as a guide structure within which improvisation takes place. The typical instrumentation begins with a rhythm section, consisting of piano, bass, drums and optional guitar, which can be added woodwinds. In the big bands winds are grouped into three sections: saxophones, trombones and trumpets.

- Hip-Hop/ Rap

The hip-hop as music
emerged in the late 1960s, when street parties or "block
parties" became common in the city
of New York, especially in the Bronx,
due to the inaccessible that were for people
clubs and clubs that were in affluent areas of
the Big Apple, as The Loft
and Studio 54.
Street parties were accompanied by soul and funk until the early DJs began isolating the percussion and extend it since the song became more danceable. This technique was already common in Jamaica (see dub music), which led to the Jamaican immigrant community participate in these celebrations. This adaptation of beats later was accompanied with another fresh new technique called rapping (a technique of singing and rhythmic improvisation based).
On the one hand, the figure of the "Master of Ceremonies" (abbreviated MC), which was presented to DJ was created. Slowly, the figure of the MC was becoming more important, as recited on the beats (beats of hip-hop) with increasingly clever texts. At the same time, he began to dance, reserving the best dance move when the track is temporarily stopped (when it was unbreak). This phenomenon originated the term B-boy (break-boy), it would be "the guy who uses the break", and this was born the breakdance movement.
